Great Hucklow Fell Race
15 July 2007

For the first time, we had a cool rainy day for the race. Although, the grass and weeds were a lot higher, all of the first four in beat the previous course record. Lloyd Taggart was well in front of James Walsh, seeming through a better downhill technique. Olivia Walwyn from Durham Uni Old Girls came in an amazing 13th. Both course records smashed. Super turnout from Dark Peak and Durham University Old Boys & Girls. All 40-odd marshals also had a splendid time getting very wet, but not as muddy as the runners.

Thanks are due again to the enthusiastic band of villagers who helped out with everything and marshalled with such confidence. Also thanks to Rocksport for providing all the major prizes; Tracklogs and The Old Barn for their contributions; and the Foundry Activity Centre for once again allowing us to use their facilities.

Excellent first aid was provided by the Derbyshire Cave Rescue Organisation, they and the Willow Foundation will benefit from the race profits this year.
